Urban nocturne

Paris, Tokyo, Kyoto, Saint Petersburg, Moscow. The city captured when no one is watching anymore, when the rumour of day fades and the light reveals what the distracted eye has never seen. A twenty-five-year body of work, the signature of an author who knows that night consecrates what day dilutes.

Reflections & movement

Brussels, Berlin, Venice. The capture of flux in the passing instant — water that quivers, a pavement trembling under rain, a face that doubles itself in a windowpane. The reflection is the city's second writing: Isabelle Schmitt has made it a language.

Architecture & light

Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower, Saint Basil's, the Louvre. Stone sculpted by night, the edge sliced by a beam of light, the building revealed by its own shadow. A monumental reading of Paris, Moscow, Saint Petersburg — that of an author who consecrates architecture as a photographic body.

Eastern spirituality

Asia Spirit, At the Gates of Celestial Peace, Souls of Asia. Beijing, Istanbul, Kyoto. The Asian sacred approached not as decor but as living matter. A body of work that conveys what the Western image no longer dares to say: that places still exist where silence has a face.

Signed prints

Lightning over New York, Le Louvre, Along the Water. Numbered limited editions, registered with ADAGP. Each print is an act — archival pigments, conservation papers, certificate of authenticity. The Isabelle Schmitt signature embodied in a heritage gesture.

Commissions & reportage

Authored photographs produced on commission for institutions, brands and prestige hotels. UNESCO, Paris City Hall, Salon d'Automne, hospitality partnerships. A signature that travels without ever changing: the gaze remains, the subject shifts.
